When trying to activate the training plotter, after entering my email address, I get the following message.
"An error occurred while sending this request."
I cannot get as far as entering the activation code.

Hi Alan.

Are the date and time set correctly on your computer? This can cause activations to fail.

Kind regards
Alex

I am having a major problem getting the plotter to load on a MAC.
I have loaded several times and done lots of restarts.
The plotter loads and opens but I can not get to the service centre to register or activate.
When I shut the programme down and restart the programme an error message come up saying "A problem with COM occurred"

The mac is recent (Mac Book Pro) with a 3.1GHz processor and 16GB of memory and 1TB hard drive.
It runs OS 10.12
Any ideas?

Hi Danny.

Please can you try the following step

1. Can you first restart the Mac.
2. Get Finder up and do CMD + SHIFT + G (i.e. hold down CMD and SHIFT and tap G) that will get you “Go to the folder” box up and copy in the following

~/Library/Application Support/

3. Carefully "move to trash" the folder called com.chersoft.rya_14222729204162
4. Now try running the plotter again.

Sometimes the installer for Mac does not create this folder correctly. Removing it will allow the plotter to recreate it correctly.

Kind regards
Alex

Thank you for the reply,
Yes the Date and Time are OK, the machine is also operating with Network Time Protocol in any case, which should be super accurate.
I gave up trying for a few months, resorting to paper version, I've given the machine a good clean out, but still no movement beyond typing my email address.

Hi Alan

Is it possible that a firewall is blocking the Plotter from connecting to the internet?

Kind regards
Alex

It is still possible, but it isn't telling me it has done so, and I had put both the installer and the .exe file in the firewall exceptions list.
The login email address field appears to be behaving as it should by displaying a red splodge until a recognised address format is completed.
but then it displays "an error occurred while sending this request".
then Llareggub!
